Remind Me, a great song. Is this country? Really? Empty This is our song.

I met my wife online. It took months of cajoling, whining and pleading to just get her to let me talk to her on the phone. I loved her and had never heard her real voice. She didn't give her heart easily and after a while, out of desperation, I told her that I thought that she was a man who just posted a beautiful woman's picture with a fake profile. I told her she could hit call mask, so her number wouldn't show up. Still she resisted.

Finally, I was going to Mexico and I lied to her. I told her that the internet was shaky down there at the best which is a blatant lie. You can sip coffee and smoke a Cuban in an internet cafe. But it worked, she called me and promised to meet me before I left. It worked, that's all that matters.

Anyway, after months of loving her and just seeing text on a screen, I finally got to really meet her. It was really different falling in love on the net. You see inside, what they really think and care about. It's not a physical attraction, you know that you both really click to have held out for so long.

This became our song. We had no real way of showing our love for each other than to just type it on a screen, which seemed so cold. So, as the lyrics say, "What would you say? If I took those words away? Then you couldn't make things new, if I took those words away from you."

Anyway, I finally got to meet her and left for Mexico for two weeks. Fat Tuesday's is right on the square in San Miguel. They play loud, good rock and roll and serve cold beer and kick ass tequila. I was walking away when this song came on and it stopped me in my tracks. Even though we were miles away and there were chicks everywhere, my heart was in Houston. This is our song.
