ANOTHER ILLEGAL CRIMINAL

A man accused in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a Sour Lake mother and her 10-month-old son has been indicted on two reckless manslaughter charges.
According to court documents, Ines Legarda, 38, was traveling west in the eastbound lane of Texas 105 on Jan. 16 at 6:15 a.m.
Alyssa Holtzclaw, 30, was traveling westbound with her 10-month-old son, Jacob, court documents said. Legarda's vehicle struck Holtzclaw's vehicle, killing her and her child, according to court papers.
Legarda then fled on foot and later was apprehended in Winnie, court documents said.
He is in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility on bonds totaling $1,250,000. He also has an immigration hold.
If convicted of the second-degree felony, Legarda faces between two and 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine on each charge.
An indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
